Minardi for Giancarlo Minardi for doing a lot for less, bringing in a lot of talented drivers and engineers – only for the best people to be hired by better fonded teams. Minardi had the best catering, I'm told!

Tyrrell for the simplicity versus succes. Williams might also be considered. British independency strikes me.

Ferrari for being the racers race car, for at least as long as Enzo was alive. Pre-Fiat Alfa Romeo will be considerated. BRM might also count in this context?

McLaren for Bruces' headsight of professionalism, and for Ron Dennis folliwing up. Brabham will be a number two of the down-under entries.

Lotus for Colin Chapman beeig a genious in car design and sponsorship and hiring Jim Clark.

Ligier for beeing French blue with Guy Ligier hiring Jacques Laffite. Any Talbot-Lago T26-privateer-type will be considered!

Any team hiring Lella Lombardi as a driver on her merits alone..

Jim Hall and the Chaparral-name, and ad Roger Penske, for an American attack on Formula One, Hall being the ingeneer and Penske the ultimate professional.

Red Bull for Helmut Marko being a no-nonsense person.

1930's Auto Union and Mercedes-Benz for an all out attack by some of the greatest engineers on the planet.

..I'd like to add Nissan, because, unlike Toyota and Honda, they still have to leave F1 with promisses unfolfilled. Mazda mayby!

Jesper

Rob Walker. The top privateer with close ties to a manufacturer and a Stirling driver.

My favourite grid is 3-2-3.  :rotfl:

On a bit of a side note, if you look at the 2021 grid, but use the various teams' original guises, you get quite an interesting, classic-sounding grid, especially if you use the old numbering system:

1 + 2 Petronas Tyrrell Mercedes

3 + 4 Red Bull Stewart Honda

5 + 6 DELL McLaren Mercedes

7 + 8 Sofina Williams Mercedes

9 + 10 Castrol Toleman Alpine

11 + 12 Scuderia Ferrari

14 + 15 Cognizant Jordan Aston Martin

16 + 17 Orlen Sauber Alfa Romeo

18 + 19 AlphaTauri Minardi Honda

20 + 21 Haas CMD Dallara Ferrari
