I have a question regarding this hillclimb held at Switzerland in 1956. I know this is going to be a longshot but I thought I'll give a go anyway.

In the entry list of this hillclimb a driver entered under the pseudonym 'Radada' was entered in a 1492cc Maserati. This driver actually won the over 2000cc category for racing cars.

To me this driver and car is a complete mystery. Even the report at the time from Automobil Revue Zeitung says that the under pseudonym starting 'Radada' was a complete unknown. This is the only report AFAIK in which this driver is mentioned.

I am mainly interested in the car that 'Radada' was driving. What type was it, chassis number etc. I do have an entry list from Automobil Revue Zeitung but they unfortunately don't mention any starting number.

I have archived all results of the Maserati Grand Prix cars that competed at Swiss Hill climbs from the 30s-50s. And this is pretty much the only one where I have no other information than what is reported by Automobil Revue Zeitung.

If anyone can add anything, has an entry list, or knows anyone that might know more please let me know. I would be much obliged.

Thank you for this. Also here the Mitholz - Kandersteg Bergrennen is the only event where 'Radada' is mentioned. It seems likely this is the only event he competed in. Or at least the only event under this pseudonym.

Here at the Klemantaski Collection we have photos of that hillclimb. Send us an email at info@klemcoll.com if you think we might be able to be helpful.

I don't have a chassis number for that Maserati, but "Radada" is from the same area as Tony Branca. Possibly an ex-Branca car?

To put this in perspective, do we know who he beat?  That might give a pointer to the model

I have contacted the Klemantski collection. I await their reaction.

Two other Grand Prix Maserati's competed at the 1956 Mitholz - Kandersteg Bergrennen in the over 2000cc rennwagen category. This category included 1500cc cars with a supercharger.

Erwin Sommerhalder finished second to 'Radada' with a time of 1:55.6. Sommerhalder drove the 6CM 1541 spl. This car was previously driven by Adolphe Mandirola.

Henry Witzig drove during practice but did not make a run in the event propper. He probably drove 4CL 1582 (one of the ex-Branca 4CL's). As I have no images of this Im not a 100% certain on this.

Here is an image of Sommerhalder from AR zeitung.

I have been in contact with the Klemantaski collection. Unfortunately, the had no images of 'Radada' or his Maserati. So the search continues...
