Roscoe!, I thought the rules for the admission to race meetings said no dogs admitted, or is the special rule for 'some people'.

Dogs are allowed but only if they don't have any body piercings.

I believe Bernie gave both of Lewis' dogs a paddock pass

Why is Roscoe the only one we hear about if he has two dogs?
Coco passed away a couple of years ago.

Awkward.

Why do we need a topic about a dog?

What would you say if a driver brought an emotional support cat?
Posted 04 July 2022 - 10:38
Maybe this video of Mick playing tug of war with Roscoe might shed light on things, cute and adorable though it might be although in no way the real reason for sharing it.

Roscoe is plainly some kind of personal trainer.
Posted 04 July 2022 - 10:44
It's fantastic social media content for Liberty Media and its been splashed everywhere, I have no doubt they have continued giving Roscoe passes like Bernie did in the past.
Plus its the first time we have seen him in quite some time, we never even saw him in Monaco.

That's the real reason why some people dislike Hamilton. He's on the wrong side of a certain age-old battle

Lewis is just following Mercedes tradition. Rudi Caracciola could often be seen at races with his dachshund Moritz, who you can see in the photo gallery here - along with, in the interests of balance, a picture of Rudi and his (unnamed in the caption) cat.

In later years he also had a pet monkey, but I don't think that ever went to the races!

from memory, Coco was a dog with some significant pre existing, expensive medical problems, bought for company for Roscoe but also because she wouldn’t have been a dog a lot of people could have afforded to have taken on.

I am not trying to be silly or frivolous but I recall on admission tickets that dogs were not permitted at a race circuit. Perhaps someone can enlighten me>

Do you think Lewis has to buy a ticket as if he was a spectator?

You could have worded your OP differently, I think the "some people" is easy to take the wrong way. I believe in most racing events dogs (and other animals) are not permitted in spectator areas, as they can be a nuisance, or outright danger, This does not apply to drivers, or team personnel as far as I know. Roscoe in fact was Team McLaren's dog until adopted by Lewis.
Posted 04 July 2022 - 20:40
I thought for a minute the OP was talking about this Rosco:
Rather than a dog

Roscoe is one my paddock encounters. Jerez 2014.
Testing? So Merc domination period begins, and there is Roscoe hanging around. And then they look like fighting for a victory for the first time this season, and it just so happens that it's Roscoe's first visit to the paddock. There is also the footage, posted above, of him going through some top secret training methods with Mick Schumacher, who then goes and scores his first points. He also has the sports highest paid star as a chauffeur. Interesting.

Aye, testing. I'm sure the dogs appreciated how much quieter the cars were, even if I didn't.

Toto is just a stooge, it is really Roscoe running everything at Merc. When a team is in trouble the top dog (pun intended) turns up to sort things out and Roscoe being there is obviously having an effect.
Just look at Toto's name, Wolff, it is obviously a clue that a canine is really the brains behind Merc's success.

I think you might have started something.
A sinister society of dogs and cats are at the helm of the sport..
The existence of the Canine Cabal cannot be confirmed. The Cat Coven is more willing to comply...

Before Toto was the main man, there used to be a question of whether it was Ross Brown, Ros-berg or Ros-coe pulling the strings at Mercedes.
