We're back! It's three years since we were last here, but at last, we're back. No fake marinas, no fake anything, just pure, unadulterated, road racing at its finest. Earrings? Who gives a toss!

Welcome to old hands and newcomers alike to the NW 200, the second best motorcycling meeting of the year. A precursor to the fantastic Isle of Man TT.
Run on the road course between Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart. Warning. Absolutely not for the faint hearted. All sessions, practices and races will be shown live globally on BBC NI.Here

Anybody got an entry list?

I have tomorrow booked off to go down for practice, but as is standard we had a lovely weekend just now and today it is pissing down! I did do a slow lap yesterday as the place was packed and they have quite a lot of stands up this year, more than I have seen before.

Saturday doesn't look bad, Thursday's races look wet. Damned difficult to find out much this year, BBCNI and Belfast Telegraph seem best at the moment. Still no actual confirmation of global streaming, I'm just making an assumption that there will be. I guessed it wouldn't be long before you made an appearance.

I actually live back in NI now, remote working allowed me to move home so am only 7 miles away! I just assume there is streaming as there has been for a good while.

I hadn't realised that you'd left. Do you still do a bit of subbing in Joey's?

Well. That I didn't realise. All the times that we've chatted over the years, you must have been home on holiday. Or did you make a point of going home for the north west?

I tended to go home for the race and the Ulster if I could make it. And then I spend TT fortnight attached to live timing as well!

Michael Dunlop on a Hawk Suzuki for the North West 200 Superbike race. Probably the only rider this year racing a Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha on the same day.

With a view to TT? I think there's a huge trust between Michael and the Hickens', he's won for them on a Suzuki before

What a race the Supersport was in the conditions. The wee wizard srikes again for number 25, Davey Todd, complete with nose ring, takes second with the almost pensioner, Jeremy McWilliams in third. Superstocks off next but it's started raining again. Not sure that it will happen.

And 26 with Davey Todd bringing up the rear once again in the Superstock. Richard Cooper picking up the final podium. A number of riders, G Irwin, McPint, Hicky, Micky D, among them, chose to sit the Superstock out, to the annoyance of some. Getting quite political toward the end of the day with emotions running high at the uncertainty of the Supertwin race, which ultimately was postponed with a view to running two on Saturday. Saturday looks fine all day so two Supertwin races should be attainable.

Riders are currently restricted to five races in one day, whether those that are entered for the six will get a waiver, is, at this time, unknown.

On another note. I knew Dominic Herbertson had had an accident with a chain saw. I had no idea how serious it was. Lucky, lucky, boy.

Richard Cooper untouchable in the Supertwins but it's not over yet because the bike has been protested. Fairing bracket apparently.

The Wee Wizard makes it 27. Davey Todd in the ditch on first lap, came back strong to take the lap record and get close to Seeley but the tyre was cooked.
