At the Singapore GP last week, Estaban Ocon took the Singapore Metro back to the pits during the race. What other unusual methods have been used to get back during a race?

This may not qualify as truly unusual, but it sure impressed me.
At one of the Cleveland CART races held at Burke Lakefront Airport, Paul Tracy's car expired at the far end of the circuit. This was during either a practice or qualifying session.
It was July, hot, and even hotter since all the heat was radiating off of all that airport concrete. It was bad enough sitting in the stands.
Tracy exited the car and ran back to the pits. While still wearing his helmet. It took a long time.
When they saw him coming, his crew readied the backup car.
When Tracy arrived at the pits, he immediately got in the car, got strapped in, and returned to the track.
I knew these guys were both fit and determined, but even so, it impressed the hell out of me.

I recall that in late 1980s Ligier at Spa had two bikes placed along the circuit so that the drivers would return to pits faster (and then take a T-car)

I thought the motorbikes were part of the circuit equipment and were provided not by the teams but by the organisers.
