Would that be the Beckham-style "real me"; putting on the wife's knickers, maybe?
:D

I feel better knowing that "he is just like us", mere humans.

Hmmmm, sounds like he really wants people to forget '94 and '97. No can do, Mikey.

"I would not like them to have the image of this cold German who does anything to win, even by being unsportsmanlike," he added when asked how he would like people to think of him in a few years' time.

As opposed to a 'warm' German?

Sorry, couldn't resist!

another calculated PR manuever by M. Schumacher. bah! :(
I wasn't really minding him, but recently this whining about that he could have been a 4 time WDC if he had went to McLaren claiming that they offered him tons more money than Mika, etc. (yeah, interesting timing, just before the start of the new season)
is really reminding me why he's my least favorite driver.

That was a very ignorant comment Em Gee, what exactly do you know about Germans anyway, bit foolhardy to generalise like that

i don't get it. why's EmGee's comment bad?
the only bad thing around here is MS's calculated PR.

For someone like you Samuarai, it would fit the bill if Michael Scumacher was cold blooded clinical mercernary , because you can't stand the guy for whatever reasons you have. But many that have met him outside the racing track refer to him as being a normal regular guy and far removed from the prima donna image you might like to preceive.

Red Baron --
Sorry, I think my comment came across the wrong way...I was just trying for a play on words. I thought it was interesting that Schumacher used the term "cold" which you hear people use from time to time, and I agree, it is stereotypical and that was not my intent. I just was playing with the irony that no one ever says "warm."

I didn't mean anything offensive at all, and I'm sorry if it came out that way.

As an aside, my heritage is German and Polish.
