Hi everyone :)

I am aware the ex-film director/producer Bruce Kessler had an intersting motor racing career in the USA, often racing for the Scarb team with Reventlow and Daigh. He was recently at the Southern Yosemite Film Festival where they showed the film he directed of the Scarab team.

However, he also had a brief career in Europe racing at Le Mans and attempting to qualify Bernie Ecclestone's
Connaught at the 1958 Monaco GP. He also raced at the 1958 International Trophy at Silverstone in
a Cooper Climax T43.

Does anyone out there have any photos of his single-seater races please?

Thanks

Bruce Kessler in his youth at Watkins Glen. The guy next to him is Dan Gurney.
WSP77: This isn't exactly what you were looking for. Just wanted to show you what Bruce looked like when he was racing.
A bit of trivia on Bruce Kessler: Bruce and Lance Reventlow were having a coke on the way to Salinas for the coming car races. Their friend James Dean came in the stop they were at. They made plans to have dinner together on the weekend. Minutes later just down the road, James Dean met his untimely death.

Hi Jerry

Thanks for the great photo, anything new is always a pleasure to see. The story is also an interesting insight and something to think about.

I was in touch with Bruce recently and he explained that he had no photos whatsoever of his single seater days. There must be some somewhere around I guess...............
