No-one seemed to notice apart from the TV director

Not even Rob Smedley.

This goes the same route as Bahrain. First: if in doubt, blame the evil spaniard. Later: reality check followed by slow and half-assed retraction.
Watch it happen!

"For sure I think I put together a very good lap," he added. "I couldn't put together a good lap in Q2. I was a bit in traffic but in Q3 I managed to warm up the tyres in the right way and I even passed Alonso on the out lap to get a good lap.
Why the TV producer choose to show that sequence, at that time, is a mystery. But then on the other hand,it seems like most F1 TV producers hate the sport.

I forgotten the screen graphics intelligentsia. Maybe it was two different occasions then. The speed difference was so big though that Alonso can not have been on a hot lap and if it really is Kimi I can not see how Alonso would escape penalty. We will know in due time.Originally posted by intelligentsia

I think the TV guys simply got it wrong though.

Au contraire, it's just that that was the only on-track passing we'll see this weekend.
