This is a real longshot and my first post having joined the forum..... some time ago in this topic, Russell Burrows posted the entry list for the Bemsee 1000 held at Oulton Park in 1963. One of the bikes listed was a Matchless 650 ridden by Paddy Driver and P J Dunphy and entered by TW Kirby Motor Cycles Ltd.
I am trying to find out more about this bike. You may well ask why? Well, I have recently acquired a 1962 G12 CSR originally registered (KOO 683) to T W Kirby Ltd for the first 4 years of its life. It has the full production racing kit of the bike in question which was pictured in the 1964 Matchless brochure as the winner of the race. I am hoping that someone may be able to offer some more information on the bike from the race or any way of researching the details... clearly I am hopeful that they may be one and the same bike.
