I'm dusting off my tent and beer drinking shoes for Le Mans.
Will Peugeot have the reliability to match its pace?
Will Audi continue its dominance?
Can Jacques Villeneuve add Le Mans to his Indy 500 victory and F1 championship?
So many questions...

I hope JV wins Le Mans, if not this year then later.
Indy 500, F1 WDC, Le Mans, I don't think anyone in the near future could win all the three except him.
F1 and Le Mans maybe, but Indy 500...

Hopefully Scott Dixon.... he'll need to get busy though.
What constitutes the Triple Crown? Is it the Formula One title, Indy 500 and Le Mans, or is Monaco, Le Mans and the Indy 500? If it is the former Graham Hill is the only triple crown holder. If it is the latter Jacques Villeneuve can become a Triple Crown holder in a few weeks.

He's won the 24 hours of Daytona and has stated ambitions to do Le Mans at some point.
I think his F1 chance has passed though.

Gene crashed the no. 7 Peugeot heavily:

It appears he has a hairline fracture to his toe, but should be ready for qualifying.

VERY hard crash. Glad Gene is okay, and ready for the race. Peugout will have to build another car for the race, which undoubtably will hurt the #7 car's chances (the one Villeneuve is a part of).

Wow, that was a nasty crash. Amazing how they get airborne so easily. Reminds me a little of Stephane Ortelli's crash at Monza.

I agree they way that 908 took off was a little startling. It didn't appear to need chatter, rather the leading side of the car just took off. I presume this had the Peugeot technical people thinking long and hard about caused it. It seemed to go in top first into the wall so that Gene was unscathed it really amazing and show the benefit of the closed cockpit configuration.

Lets hope for a safe meeting after this.

Here, read this article on mulsannescorner.com about why cars potentially get airborne. Especially after the 2004 rule changes.

It's amazing that he walks out of that
It seems to me that he might cut the corner just a little bit but it's hard to tell as the framerate seems to do a little hickup just there.

Wow, again, the Peugeot semmed to be behind the Audi R10 and the vacum made the 908 lose the front aero support in the middle of the curve and go airbourne.

Very dangerous. :(

Didn't a Peugeot 908 (Wurz) crashed an Audi R10 (Pirro?) recently?
