After 6 races, what are your feelings about the 2008 season?
Did you find any race especially thrilling or interesting compared to what we had seen by this time last year?
Do you think it's gonna be better or worse at the end?

Last year we had lots of controversy, but great competition and tension in almost every race. Do you have the feeling, as I do, that this year it's a little mellow - shouldn't Kimi be a little more "bad boy"?
Sorry just didn't see anything really interesting today and I was wondering if this year the show is being worse.

In pure racing terms, very similar to last year. If it rains or the conditions are a little unpredictable, the racing is good (Melbourne, Monte-Carlo). Otherwise it's follow-my-leader through the pit stops.

Slightly better than last year. Most races in 2007 were kinda boring, this year's are better across the board, although the on-track action could still be better of course.

Last year the first five or so pre-Canada races weren't very exciting.

Just look at last year's scores in Makarias' voting thread in the Bets&Games forum:

Quality rating for
Australia: 5.03
Malaysia: 5.43
Bahrain: 6.44
Spain: 4.83
Monaco: 3.25 (!)

It was the second half that produced nearly all the fun and excitement!

So far, overall the racing has been better than the same races last year - though it might be difficult to top the last few races of 2007.....

Last years Monaco GP bored the crap out of me, which was so dissappointing cause it's my favourite track to watch. Just in that one race a few weeks ago, on that alone I'd say this season has been better. But there has been some luck things that have spiced it up like Heiki's crash at Spain that caused safety car on an otherwise dull circuit. This years Australian GP was pretty spicy also. Overall there's been alot less boring moments, for one reason or another.

Lemme think:

Australia -> 08, easily.
Malaysia -> Meh.. Still, 08 for that Heidfeld-Alonso-DC action
Bahrain -> 07 I think
Spain -> ZZZZZZ.. but he had a proper fight between Heidfeld and Sato (wouldn't have happened in normal circumstances, but whatever) so 08
Turkey - 08. Some of the best fights this season, and an overtaking for lead.
Monaco - 08, no contest.

So yes, races are better in 2008. But it's mostly down to random factors (rain, front gunners fighting with cars from the back of the grid), the cars seem to be even more aero prone than they were. Voted "too early, but better for nopw". It's gonna be hard to top Fuji, China and Brazil at the end of the year so it might easily go to "started all right then went to ****".

Not at this point (thinking the overall WDC situation as opposed to individual races), simply due to Alonso's parting with McLaren and the loss of that storyline, though some might consider that a positive. Having two drivers from two teams with a shot at the title at one time was a pretty unique situation. I think Hamilton could walk off with this year's title even with a slightly less competitive Mac if KR and FM continue to split their results.

I think I am liking it more since BMW are more competitive. Plus three teams fighting for podiums spots is better than two..

Not really caring for the lead but rather the midfield i think it's better than last year. But to early to say whether it stays like that.
