NASCAR fan here, that's my #1 discipline, F1 being of high interest here.
So I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty unbiased when I say that putting Earnhardt ahead of Senna and Schumacher is absurd.
Earnhardt was more like Schuey in that he wasn't above using questionable tactics to win (Schuey doing stuff like stopping on the track, Earnhardt would just knock you out of the way if he was running 2nd and could get to your bumper). But to me NASCAR is too "dirty" of a discipline for racing skill to really show itself. Having a slightly less restrictive conscience than others is different from being a superb driver, ya know?
Not to take anything away from Earnhardt, he was the best at what he did. The thing is, what he did wasn't as hard as what Senna and Schuey did. Perhaps with the exception of a longer season.
