As one or two of you know I visit Peter Arundell for a chat from time to time
Last week he gave me this brilliant photo.
He thinks it was from 1964 ?
His overalls were supplied by Firestone...hence the 'Pete' !
Unfortunately an 'L' is left off his surmane.
'Pete' is unwell but he hopes to reach Nov 8 for his 75th birthday.
May next year for his 50th wedding anniversary is less likely.
He responds well to a chat and his wife Ricky always says my visit makes his day.
Although suffering from a chronic breathing disorder he puffs away on those nasty mini cigars !

I'm pretty sure I have this picture somewhere in my collection, I'll look it up tonight.
Pedro wore the same overall (Good Year - blue & yellow stripes on the sleeves) when he won in South Africa in January 1967.

The picture was taken by Max Le Grand at the Mexican GP 1966. The Ludvigsen Library holds the copyright.

Yes - About 100 yards from where I used to live, though I'm not sure that they overlapped.

Contrary to his doctors thoughts he looks odds on to reach 75 on November 8...!
Next target May 2009 ...50 years married.
Odds for that look bleak.

Thanks for the updates, Hipperson, even if it's not positive.
