Takes too long to load off that link, just chuck 'em in the thread an get over it, this is 2012 not 1999 and besides if you don't want big images loading themselves up in a thread throttle the image size on the auto image load setting, its not rockets. Its just internet forums there's always someone sat waiting to moan about something that's posted.

Great pics! But It's hard to know where this last one is from because there isn't anything to be seen other than the car itself

Does anybody agree that the early 90's/late 80's cars looked so much better than the 2009-2011 ones(won't even included the nose broken 2012s) ? Therefore, any pic from that period looks great to me

A brief reminder of the purpose of this thread and some rules, applicable to the entire forum, regarding the posting of images.

First, this thread is not for 'awesum pitchers of my fave driver' it is for pictures that for one reason or another have become significant or iconic because of the persons or events they portray. It is not really enough for the image to be aesthetically pleasing but that does not mean you should not bring particularly strong examples to our attention.

Second we do have rules regarding copyright and these seem to have been forgotten recently. The forum rules are here and in particular you should read the paragraph reproduced below;

* Posting pictures on the BB. Images whose copyright you do not own; that reside on other websites than autosport.com or yours, should be posted as a LINK only. If it's one odd image - the copyright holder and the website owner may overlook. But some here are overdoing it, posting hi-res images from other websites, which not only infringes their copyright but also hijacks their bandwidth. So use [url ][ /url] please.

Therefore as a rule you should NOT post hi-res images. You should instead link to these or generate low res versions to use as thumbnails or links.

Finally, please post details of the copyright holder. If they are selling the image, perhaps you can link to the page where it can be purchased? Most of the recent posts have many images which do not appear to be properly attributed and this is really not acceptable.

This thread has a very difficult place on this forum. It is here only because the various copyright holders allow it and have not complained to us directly. If they do so, we will have no choice but to remove the images or even the whole thread so please keep to the rules, and please report those who do not so that we can police the issue and ensure that it remains here for the enjoyment of everyone.

I posted a request only a few posts up in this thread that copyright laws must be honoured. Sadly, members have continued to post images without attribution that are technically poor, by no stretch of imagination 'great', and in some cases really quite offensive, all now deleted. We do not have the resources to check every post and copyright owners deserve to have their rights respected so it is with great regret that we have taken the decision to close this thread.

There will be no replacement. Please report those who continue to post hi-res images anywhere on the forum without permission or using the [img][ /img] tags as they are jeopardising the existence of the entire forum.
