The game works perfectly with this new wheel with one exception: the car sometimes shifts up a gear when I haven't even pressed the shifter (I play with auto-gears off). Even with auto-gears on, there is sometimes a strange out-of-place upshift before the computer immediately counters it with a downshift. Each track has its 'favourite' corners where this problem happens on almost every lap. I know for sure that I'm not accidentally pressing the shifter, and so far, the problem only seems to occur in left-hand corners (although the steering angle at which the upshifts occur varies). When I test the wheel in Windows Control Panel, there are never any superfluous button presses registered, but the confusing thing is that the problem never occurred in GP3 with my old Thrustmaster Formula T2. Any ideas?[p][Edited by mic on 10-03-2000]

I shouldn't have said that it works perfectly, since there's another problem: the wheel sometimes twitches (a short burst of force feedback turning the wheel to one side before releasing and continuing normally).

Er,

The 'glitch' already existed in GP3 before we got the new wheel. And it upshift because you can't drive. You probably tap the lever with the side of your finger when you're turning, and because of the FF you can't feel the click of the lever behind the wheel. How come I never set it off?
