I visited the Nevada Vintage Race Car Museum today. It's a pretty small place in Henderson Nevada. I never knew it existed, but I'm glad I stumbled on it. The museum was focused mainly on Joe Lencki and his race creations. There were a lot of photos and parts on display with descriptions. The owner was very nice and answered a couple hundred of my questions.

If you are a fan of vintage racing iron and are ever in Las Vegas, it's worth the trip over to see it. http://fabulousracers.com

I love the displays of specialised components, also the cars minus body panels showing the detail. Fantastic.

Thanks for the pictures, looks very interesting!

Although I would have a few issues with some of the claims being made ;), and most of all: the name of Ed Elisian on a car that was built three years after he died! ):

kris-kincaid, thanks for posting your photos of these interesting cars.

Michael, do you know the history behind the 1962 Trevis-Lencki car? I've never heard of its existence.

No problem on the photos. I have a whole lot of enthusiasm for early open wheel racing, but not a whole lot of knowledge. Thats why I just snapped pics of everything so I could sort it out later. I also notice that most people like taking photos of the shiny parts of a car, where I prefer to see whats underneath. Hope that explains some of my photo angles! :)

There's not much history: built in '62 as a typical Watson clone, twice entered at Indy but didn't do much running. AFAIK it wasn't on track at all in '62, and driven by veteran Cliff Griffith the followng year. Waved off during time trials, too slow. Extremely low budget effort, it seems.
