Hi all, I'm trying to find an image of the BRDC logo as it looked in 1955.
The one example is off a car at the 1955 Mille Miglia, but the bottom is cut off.

I have also got the 1952 BRDC Silver Jubilee Book at home and I can scan in the logo used on that otherwise I'm sure someone else will be along in a minute with some pictures from 1955.

EDITED TO ADD - I don't think the logo in your picture is very accurate, the logo hasn't changed a great deal over time (am happy to be corrected on that though!!) and it might be worth asking the BRDC directly.

REDARMYSOJA thanks for the images but neither are correct for this race year. The car is completely black and can be seen on Stirling Moss's shirt in the same 1955 MM.

Please let me know if you come up with anything else.

Hmmm... Yes I see . Seems to be the same one sported here by Harry Stiller . I believe this photo is from the 1960's , however .



Seems to be all black , including the flag , which would be different than the one you posted , at least it seems that way to me , of corse it's a bit hard to tell with black and white photo's . Here's an all-black logo I found , I think it just happens to have been done without color though , the lettering seems different that on the Stiller or Moss pics , from what I can tell .

Surely the early version of the BRDC is at the top and the later underneath ????
