I searched the BB & didn't get any results, but I thought it would be remiss not to think of Tony Renna today. Already five quick years have passed us by since he left us testing his IndyCar for Ganassi Racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was his first test for the team. I think his talent would have taken him to many successes.

He was a protege of Derek Daly whom I was working for at the time. I remember the day too well. His upside was unlimited.

Just as he get his big break it ended. :( In his only Indy start he finished 7th.

Very tragic indeed. He could have achieved plenty with Ganassi.

Five years already? It doesn't seem that long at all.

Such a shame :(

I was looking for a shot of Tony & all I could come up with is this shot from Wednesday practice at the Speedway before the first qualification day. This is with the now defunct Kelley Racing Team. A fine 7th lead to bigger things until it went so wrong. I can't understand how I missed getting any pictures of him.

In seven Indycar starts he finished in the top 10 five times leading in his first two races. Very talented and I felt he achieve whole lot more at Ganassi if he was still alive today.
