I am looking for pictures of the shirt which was worn by Lord Alexander Hesketh in 1975, especially in Zandvoort when James Hunt has won the Dutch Grand Prix. It was white and on the back was HESKETH Racing written. But what was on the front?

Firestones, 1975? Although having siad that, the shoulders on the rears look too rounded to be Firestones! Brilliant picture, brilliant!

I have to admit it's not mine, so perhaps should give the source - http://www.ssij.nu/b...ord-hesketh.jpg

Which also gives at being 74.

Doh!

I can't find my pic of him but he had - I think always - 'Le Patron' embroidered on the front.

Greetings,
I just dug out my copy of, "The heavily censored history of HESKETH RACING". The few photos of "Himself" show only Le Patron.
cheers!

I think you'll find that's a champagne belly.

Exactly my reaction! I doubt His Lordship would ever have been seen with a pint in his hand (unless it was buck's fizz of course!) :drunk:

Still 1974, but I think you are correct.

Is that Bob Curl in the background examining the tyre?

Working from memory alone, the photo is post N° 2 is from 1974. I think that the 1975 car was less boxy and more rounded.

As a man in possesion of a genuine Hesketh GRP Teddy Bear (Genuine offers invited), I can confirm that it is a Hesketh of early vintage, as produced by Bob Curl on the sunny southern coast of this sceptic isle; and looking suspiciously like the one I saw in Bob Sparshott's Harpenden workshop not that many moons ago.

I was thinking that Beaky was looking at the wheel/tire in the picture. But, who has the 'beak' and talking with Le patron?

Great photos of Lord Hesketh! Which race were they taken at? Was it the '74 British GP?

I brought one as well. It shrunk in the first wash so it was sent back. 2 came back by return of post. I never let my mother and the washing machine near them :)

Of course, if I still had them they would fit my ample frame - well perhaps not!

I still cannot quite believe that probably the ONLY photo of me at Brands shows the very article in question.
I insist it shrunk in the wash.
Lucky it got washed in those "hippy" type days!

Presuming that picture has been clipped from a police line-up, what were you arrested for? The shirt?

Stephan

If you are interested I am posting an original 1975 Hesketh team jacket in terrific shape on ebay later today.
