Graham Hill's book "Life at the Limit" is one of the best books I've ever read.
Published in 1970. Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 76-120103. Publisher Coward-McCann, Inc. New York.
If anyone should ever stumble upon a copy of this book these days, pick it up...

That he is openly and frequently criticised for various reasons throughout it makes it all the better. Everyone is human and has the ability to be a total prat and it's got to see none of that is hidden. It's very clear from the various sources of information about Hill that he could be a prize @rsehole a lot of the time.
Contrast that with the 'can do no wrong' fairtytale storylines in most of the driver documentaries out there.

And such a great pity that wonderful characters such as Graham Hill and James Hunt were taken so early.
I think Graham would have been so proud of Damon's display of stiff upper lip and sportsmanship during the years he fought Michael Schumacher for the title.
Dirty play was aimed at Damon but he never gave in to the temptation to retaliate.
There is a league of people with ethics and Damon as well as Alain Prost are included versus the dirty players such as Senna and Schumacher.

Whether the usual 'cannot be viewed outside of the UK' issues apply to that, I don't know.

Just looked it up on amazon. Apparently it was published first in 1969/1970. But there seems to have been a later edition from 1976. Does anyone know if that was updated by himself to include the later years in his life or was it a simple re-issue after his death?

I don't know about later issues or versions, but this link looks like the copy I have (1970) just by looking at the publisher (Coward-McCann) and the number of pages (255)... I threw away the dust jacket years ago, so I can't verify that. It does look familiar, but that's been so long ago I don't want to say for sure.

I did see two other listings for "Life at the Limit" Graham Hill, but with different publishers and one of them had a different page count, the other didn't list a page count. :
I don't frequent Amazon all that often, so I don't know how quickly (or if at all) the links change, so I hope this link is good...

I have an original copy of that great book.
I really hate the fact that you lot in the UK and Europe have access to all this great stuff. IT never comes to the US.
