Hi

Is anyone else having problems viewing Imageshack images linked to from TNF threads? For the past few days I've been unable to see the large images linked to from thumbnails in threads. For instance in the Personal Photos from the Paddock thread I can't see the images referred to in the thumbs posted by LOLE - e.g. Post 3267 from 18 November.

I've now tried Internet Explorer and Firefox at home and at work - PC at home, Mac at work - and also Safari on my work Mac with exactly the same result.

Is anyone else getting this problem? Are there any Internet/browser experts out here who might have a clue as to what's going on?

It also looks to me as if Imageshack has changed its interface when displaying the large images - could this have something to do with the problem? This was all working perfectly last week...

cheers

Neil

Imageshack is too complicated for my liking. I use Photobucket too.

But if I got large images/photos then I will have to use Imagshack as Photobucket tends to automatically reduce the size of the photos if it reaches a certain resolution size.

Yes , I never worry about it being larger than the 1024x768 size . But I think you can download larger ones using the (options) thingie .

You'll see this in the uploader section > max image size: 1024 x 768 (options) , click on the options link .

I've never used it , so I'm not sure from there .

Post 3267 images seem to be OK for me (at the moment).

I know that ImageShack can have 'off periods' that seem to correct themselves in an hour/day.

The new interface arrived about a week ago, and was removed after 24 hours because it didn't work! Now it seems OK, if a little long winded..

Click thumbnail to load ImageShack image (new window)
Click ImageShack image to ge full size (new window)
Close unwanted windows when viewed

I have also been facing this problem a lot... though i believe that there are a lot of settings changes that we need to do in our browser also..... not sure if it works for everyone but it definitely worked for me.... i found the solution here:
