A friend of mine has just purchased Ralt RT 34 chassis number #829. This car took part in the 1990 British F3 championship, driven by Minoru Tanaka for West Surrey Racing. My friend is looking to restore the car to original specifications. My friend would like to find the following:

a) current location of Minoru Tanaka (born 1963, believed to be still living in Japan).
b) details of the mechanics who may have worked on the West Surrey Racing F3 cars in 1990.
c) details of any Mugen-Honda MF204-2000cc capacity engines that may be for sale.

Speaking to the driver and/or mechanics would help my friend with the restoration. Also, any photographs of the car when it ran during the 1990 British F3 championship would assist greatly.

I look forward to any replies.

FWIW I can confirm, from my contemporary notes on 1990 British F3, that c/no 829 was driven by Tanaka.

Graham,

I have a few of your car at the May 1990 Thruxton F3 meeting. Unfortunately I can't work out how to insert them here!

Maybe you could email me: dunxc@aol.com?

Regards,

Hi Fred, Thanks for the reply, I sent a private message re the Ralt 34 chassis 829. When you worked at WSR were the engine returned to Honda - leased or what ever. I am tyring to purchase a MF204 Mugen - Honda 2000cc engine, do you have any leads on the whereabouts of one.
