I thought I would make a thread for people to put link to the best motor racing databases with different results for different series.

http://www.formula2.net/index.html (Le Mans, Targa Florio, Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula Junior,
Non-Championship Formula One)

http://www.champcarstats.com/Year.htm (Champcar, Indycar)

http://www.wspr-raci...nf_ms_home.html (Sportscar Races)

http://jpgleize.club.fr/gp/newgp.htm (Pre-Championship racing, Early Era Racing)

http://www.silhouet....e/f1/title.html (Formula One Championship & Non-Championship)

http://www.kolumbus....ellman/hcw0.htm (Hillclimbs)

http://www.teamdan.c...en/archive.html (Mixed)

http://www.teamdan.c...www2/index.html (Mixed)

http://www.tasman-se...ces/default.htm (Tasman Series)

http://www.racing-database.com/ (Mixed)

http://isr.cudlici.com/ (Sportscar Races & Hilcimbs)

Do you have any other links for any series, F1, F2, F3, Pre-War, Hillcimbs,Rallying, Indycar, etc.

http://natsoft.com.au has current (ie since about 2002) results for practically all Australian race meetings and sprints including a lot of speedway. Often including individual lap times. Handy if you want to know what time Fred Smith did in lap 35 at Bathurst in 2004 . .

My own site, very specialised indeed, http://terrywalkersplace.com has a most of the historic results for Western Australia since the beginning of the 20th century to date.

Here's a list I compiled a while ago:

http://8w.forix.com/mrh/#STATS

By the way, from your list I've never seen this one before:

http://jpgleize.club.fr/gp/newgp.htm

I'm curious about the sources they used but that page is still under construction.

Dave the link works if you put in a Google Cache, thanks for the great links guys. It's good because I am always hunting for websites like these.

As for the sources I have no idea, but as long as it is truthful that will do me.

Does the F1 Stats really have the list of nono-championship f1 drivers cause it looks it, and it's a gold mine?

That's one I happened upon not long ago . It's a bit dis-jointed and all over the place , but perhaps it's because it's still under construction . It seems to only give winners , and no detail . I do like the picture of Tazio , I'll give them that . But for pre-war races , to me , Leif Snellman's "Golden Era" site is the only place to look . Not only do you get results , but often a story to give details .

I'd like to add , the 8W site is just superb . I spend lots of time there reading . It's the best spot for indepth stories .

That's a good little site , all around . But they don't seem to differentiate non-championship from championship Grand Prix's , they are there , but mixed in among the rest .

For non-championship GP results , the silhouet site is the best , and most easily accessed .

Hi,
I think this site went into the following:

http://www.racingsportscars.com

which was originally just for photos but from the same man,Martin Krejci from Czech Republic, and he melted all together to one big interesting page.

this one is mind blowing. all the laps from all the drivers (well, from F1) are right there, and it's so easy to compare times of given two drivers.

Leif's "Golden Era" site is absolutely excellent. With "Hill Climb Winners" our Hans Etzrodt - NUMBER ONE for pre-war races.

I'm not sure if you're Motorcycle Racing fans, but does anyone have a website to a website that has results from Moto GP and World Superbike. And maybe also pre-war motorcycle racing, the european championship with Tazio Nuvolari, Jimmie Guthrie, Dorino Serafini, Ken Tyrrell-Smith and I believe Bernd Rosemeyer?

Looking for some Japanese results - in Japanese - look here:

http://www.jaf.or.jp...s/race/list.cgi
which is the results page for the Japanese Automobile Federation (JAF) containing results back to 1963. The upper 5 links direct you to the top Japanese series directly, while the next many links is a direct way to selected individual drivers results. At the buttom you'll find a more specific search function. I don't have a keyboard capable of anything but latin letters, so all I can use of this part is to put in dates.

http://ms.bridgeston...ult_report.html
This is the results archive at Bridgestone Motorsport. Less complete in terms of results but with top-10 point standings in some cases. Even better was - but sadly no longer - that an English version was also available.

Now it's a matter of finding someone who can translate or a translation device on the net, like:
http://translate.google.com/
http://dk.babelfish.yahoo.com/
They do end up with the same result on occasion, they do end up with different results at other times, and they do end up with nothing at times too.

You can always copy and paste in the names!;)

Translating Japanese results pages is always hilarious, because bable fish etc. often translate names, too! You'll end up with something like "1st Noboru Tall White Mountain, 2nd Fish unlike Goes to Well, 3rd Dances with Wolves Takao..." :rotfl:

These are good websites. But I visit these two the most when I need to check something about F1:

http://www.f1-facts.com/
http://grandprixstats.com/en/

I don't think there's really a consensual "best" website from all of these. All have unique little features that the others don't, or lack something. And sometimes comparing several websites for the same info doesn't match 100%.

Forix is probably the best, but it's paid...

Other than F1 I really like this one: http://www.driverdb.com/ . Very good for checking the progress of promising drivers below F1, and some modern era (mostly from the 1980s onwards) feeder series results.

Here's a link to the official timing and scoring of the Danish Touringcar Championship going back to 2004. Click on "Resultater" for results.
http://www.raceresult.dk/
And here's a previous incarnation of essentially the same site - going back to 1997. From late 1998 you can even find individual lap times for all competitors.
http://www.datapower....asp?pageid=695

This site mainly covers historic racing in Denmark:
http://www.laptime.dk/

If you're into rallying:
http://www.rallyresult.dk/Rally.aspx

Here's some links to Swedish sites

A mixed bag of MC and car races:

Club racing results from SSK - The Sports Car Club of Stockholm:

The official timing and scoring of the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) and it's support classes (of which Radical lies dearest to my heart  )
http://www.motorsport-events.se/

This is a site maintained by the LG Nilsson, the track announcer, together with his son Thomas, at the STCC events - both of whom, incidentally, I had as table partners at the Radical price giving party in 2006 (do you see a Radical theme appearing?)
In the rightmost box in the second row, choose 'Svensk Banracing' in the drop down box 'Välj resultat här' - this will bring up the results for some Swedish series.
http://www.sportinformation.se/

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this site for results from Britain - among them Radical...
http://www.tsl-timing.com/

http://www.750mc.co.uk/

...or this one for Scotland:
http://www.smart-timing.co.uk/

...or Brazil

...or Italy
http://www.gruppoperoni.it/race/ (this one is best enjoyed with the sound off...)
http://misano.perugi....com/risultati/ (for Misano Adriatico)

...or Holland/Belgium

Wow you have a video of the end of the Bill Horstmeyer crash at Springfield in 1964. I saw that. Horrible. Great pics and vids - check it out people.

Edit - Right at the end of the 1966 Springfield video he shows the scene of where the photographer stand was pulled off the top and killed 3 people which I also witnessed.

Sorry if I am being annoying in asking for links, but does anyone have a link to good rallying database that has a wide range of results. Also does anyone have results for pre-war motorcycle racing with complete (or close to) race results?
