Fortunately, the Qtel logo looks pretty good, so it's no goin to be something sub-par like Banco do Brasil.

Jenson had his last run on the primes and he was setting quick S1 and S2 times, S3 was a a bit of a struggle.
I couldn't watch the FP2. Both McLarens ran their fastest laps on options? And what about Vettel?
By the way: I've read Fry's comments on motorsport.com, and he would give 80% that Jenson stays at the team... It less than 99 what Ross said about. And Jenson claimed that he wants new challenges... I hope he stays. Button an icon for this team, engineers, mechanics, employers know him well, it would be sad to see him leaving after a good season. At least he should race with the No1 race number at this team. He was supported even in 2004, after the Buttongate 1...
But I'm happy that Rosberg is arriving...

put it this way if button leaves and a new driver line-up brawn will be on the back foot compared to the other teams. its shocking brawn cannot give jb the money -really shocking.
I don't think that they cannot give JB... I support Jenson, because he needs a champion-salary, the 8m would be ideal...
It's good that they don't commantate their salary issues in public. Fry said 80% that he stays. It less what Ross had said former, but still very likely. They're going to sit down to negotiate.

On James Allen's site he suggests that contract length could also be a sticking point
http://www.jamesalle...g-williams-for/
Meanwhile Jenson Button confirmed this afternoon that he has started discussions with Brawn about a new contract, but said that he wanted to sit down seriously after this weekend to focus on the future. I sense that as much as money, the duration of the contract could be a key point. He would like a long contract, I imagine, especially bearing in mind that Sebastian Vettel is contracted to Red Bull until the end of 2011 and may well be a Mercedes target for 2012, if they are running their own team by then.

its just silly as christian horner said earlier in the bbc fp1 that a really top driver should be getting a salary up there with the other top drivers and he was actually very complemtary that jenson is too good for teams not to give him the salary he is reporting asking.
unless Ross Brawn feels that there are other drivers that could get the job done in his cars...

I really don't see anything shocking about Brawn refusing to buckle under what they consider an inflated salary demand. All they need to do is come up with another rocket-ship ala the BGP 001 and the rest will take care of itself...Even a Pedro Diniz pay-driver could have dominated in that car!

People keep posting this sort of thing, and not just in relation to Brawn, but always seem to miss the fact that there are 2 drivers in the team, and yet only one of them dominated. If anyone could have, why wasn't the second driver closer?

Looking likely that Paul di Resta will be on testing duties with Brawn during the days allocated to 'young drivers' next month. Good news
I agree. Excellent.
* Where does it take place? In Jerez?

"We're comfortable with our situation, let's say that," the team boss told BBC Radio Five.
"Once we've got Jenson sorted then we'll be announcing our whole package, and we want to make an impact when we do that."
Surely he means the title sponsor as well.
Another tidbit:
I remember Jonathan Legard saying that Ross Brawn has indicated the 2010 car will feature a Red Bull style high nose.
But we already knew that from the ridges they were testing last July.

I'm really hoping that Brawn won't copy the Red Bull direclty That ridges are looking good. We'll see. I think they designed a shark fin engine cover (they tested it in Spa), but I loved watching the front wing of BGP001. It was so nice from the endplates to nosecone. Maybe the Red Bull-version is faster, but it's so ugly. I had a true feeling that BGP001 is a real race car despite these ugly cars with their high noses... But OK, we will get used to it. the most important thing is TO BE FAST. The beauty is another thing.

I think most teams will copy the shape, as it's a trick to decrease the cross section of the nose between the front wheels, while maintaining the FIA regulated dimensions.I'm really hoping that Brawn won't copy the Red Bull direclty

I think when Brawn announces the 2010 drivers and sponsors is a good time to start a new thread. No offence to the Brawn massive, but shouldn't this thread be closed now?
