I have '291' ('82) and '380' in my files, but to be taken with caution. For one thing, I have never personally observed any chassis numbers, and secondly, I believe Senna crashed quite a bit in F3, and I'm not sure if it was always possible to repair the car.

Did he not borrow Richard Trott's car at one stage?

Borrowed it, and parked it on top of Martin Brundle's version, if I remember correctly (at Oulton). I'm pretty sure the footage is on YouTube.

I'll seek confirmation from Trotty...

Is that after his accident at the Cadwell Park Mountain?

I'm sure Martin Brundle had a chuckle about that :)

Yes - Richard has confirmed that he did hire the car to West Surrey, and Senna did indeed part it on top of Brundle. Richard says they learned a lot from looking at the way West Surrey rebuilt his car.

Richard also said that Senna's car had a black rollbar, but his was silver, if that gives you any clues...

Senna only did one F3 race in '82, pretty sure of that. It was the non-championship TV Thruxton meeting in November, which he won of course on his F3 debut, driving the WSR blue Ralt that Enrique Mansilla had used in the '82 British Marlboro Championship. Another interesting thing about that F3 race was Will Hoy took part in it, the only single seater race he ever did. He was doing clubmans at the time for Hugh Chamberlain.

Toivonen did a Libre race with the F3 at a Silverstone Clubbie a week or so before as a warm up. He had his own way of taking Woodcote :)
