Okay, I have just bought a Xbox 360, so I am wondering what you guys think is the best racing game.
I do not like the NFS series, or similar too arcadey games. But it doesn't have to be all sim either.
(for example, on my ps2 I played Toca racing driver 3 the most, especially multiplayer)

You probably want to look at GRID or Forza 2, then.

Grid is quite the eye candy!!!
Kind of gotta fed up at some point because that's all I thought of it at some point...
Forza 2 has more depth!!!

Still a great game considering it's been out since Oct. 07:

Pretty sweet if you like the Moto GP:

Could have been so much more considering who did it(makers of GTR for the PC):

If you like realism then Forza 2 is great. There is the newer Race Pro out but initial reports were very mixed.
Grid looks good but after playing it for 10 minutes I put it on Ebay. The handling is just weird and very arcadey.
Project Gotham Racing 4 seems to be a good compromise between realism and 'arcade'. It feels quite good and you can get into it immediately.
For me, having PGR4 and Forza has been a good combination, and you can get them both dirt cheap on Ebay.

I just got RacePro and I find it very very good. I'm used to PC sims using a wheel etc, so I wasn't expecting it to be as fun as that, but it still feels about as "real" even using a standard controller. Granted, the PC sims are better, but this just about fills the gap for the xbox.
A lot of the criticism it received was because of the underwhelming presentation and lack of real depth in options, however the setup options are very detailed and allow for quite a bit of fine-tuning.
The driving is fun and presents a steeper challenge as you get through the game. Great tracks too.
Is there anyone here on xbox live that races online? I'd love to practice against you all
