Thank you, how is the price? I'll come back with my arguments favouring IndyCar later, but actually I like them both!

I liked both Cart and Nascar in the '90s but now its just too artificial
I do not like:
fake yellows (both)
races starting in dusk ending in night(nascar)
one make series (indycar)
COT
But what buggs me the most is Driver rooster (both indycar and nascar)
those series are missing the greats, modern day nascar drivers are nothing like Earnhardt, Jarrett, Irvan, Allison, Kulwicki, oh and Trickle
Indycar also, I would trade both Danica and Milka for just a half of Bobby Rahal any day.
dunno, it all lost sense really, It is not motorracin' anymore its motorshow

I have not yet developed the 'stamina' to watch a full NASCAR sprint cup race, but the one hour or so of highlight package is watchable if there is no other motorsport on TV.

Why do NASCAR races go for so long! I can't see what that achieves apart from making people skip the middle of the race, so that the sponsors have no one watching rather than more valuable air time.

That is funny because the first year of the USGP most of the fans were acting - "Is that it???" when the race ended

And yet they were all wearing Ferrari tee-shirts.

Its like an endurance race series.

I don't really watch the first laps of a NASCAR race, I just see the start, and then I just have the telly on, doing other things. The last 1/3 of a race is really interesting though, and it's always exciting to see JJ turn a **** loose car to a demon in just 400 miles! But the IndyCar races are more or less alive all the time.

The coverage of NASCAR is great, they promote their drivers and team like stars. The depth of knowledge I think is huge, there are a lot of really good drivers all theway down the field. The competition is high, the field is large and the racing is great and not very easy to predict. Also - the drivers and team personell I think are personalities.
NASCAR I say.

If they got rid of the Danica's - sent Marco to Atlantics or ALMS for a bit and brought in Servia, Tracy and a few others who are currently on the sideline, I think we would resolve that.

It really does suck beyond all possible belief.
There are basically two series - NASCAR and F1.
Frankly, both GP2 and A1GP are superior to IndyCar.

I am not so sure. We can certaintly use Doornbos performance in both series to rate the series quality of talent. During the St.Pete's race the commentators mentioned how Doornbos has mentioned his struggles to adjust to the indy cars which requires a totally different braking technique.

IndyCar is a JOKE.

Nascar need a team headed by Ron Dennis and another by Eddie Jordan. Good food and hot pit babes would help as well.
And why not run Atlanta and Road America?
Unfortunately NASCAR is FAR - FAR worse off in terms of attracting me then the IRL.

You could think of Jack Roush as Ron Dennis wearing a hat and Eddie Jordan could be Michael Waltrip.

Even with there being 2 classes too many, I really enjoyed ALMS for the past two years with the Penske/Audi et al competition and Sebring this year on the basis of having distinctive, non spec cars running on real road courses. Obviously as you mention the economy and rules have decimated the prototypes, though with Corvette and Jaguar joining BMW as newcomers GT2 looks interesting down the road.
Of the choices, despite some changes I'm not thrilled about of recent I prefer NASCAR, haven't had much interest in Indy for a while. Would if they got some names back and picked up the old road courses.

For someone that claimed to have no interest in either you sure are talking a lot about it.
Indycar for me only cause I prefer single seaters to taxis. Though I like Nascar too.

Formula Honda aka: Indycars, whilst rather boring generally do come alive at Indianapolis and Watkins Glen.
