Hi all
I felt like some NASCAR action last night, so I installed NASCAR 3 and Legends again from my dusty collection of ancient games. Only to find that the menus are unreadable and the game unplayable because I am running a monitor resolution (1680 X 1050) unsupported in the original game. I know GPL made a resolution hacker, but apparently it doesn't work with Papy's NASCAR games. Is there another app somewhere that I could try, or some other workaround?
Yeah, I could just buy an updated NASCAR game. But I kinda liked the old Papy classics and would prefer to play them if possible.

Widescreen resolution changer for NASCAR 3/Legends?

Never mind, I got it to work by fiddling around with GPU scaling effects. Although I can't get it to display the needles on the dials in the cockpit, whatever setting I use.

I guess that since these are no longer very popular, unlike GPL and NASCAR 2003, there won't be anyone to work on this kind of modification.

It seems to work fine now, but I can't get the gauge needles to display, whatever I try. That's not too bad on Nascar 3, as the red rev limiter light still works. But on Legends there's no rev limiter warning so it's tricky. I'm having to short-shift to avoid blowing the engine.
