I was reading an article at Speedvision.com on Stirling Moss' investiture ceremony yesterday as Sir Stirling Moss at Buckingham Palace and was struck by the following comments he made about the event:
"And suddenly, images of Jimmy, Mike, Archie, Graham and all the others who raced the green cars came into my mind. Then I thought, 'We had some great times, didn't we, and this award is for all of us. I'll wear it because you're gone and can't be here, but we all did it together.'"
Touching sentiments from one of the few survivors of that era towards his departed friends. http://www.speedvisi...a1/000323b.html

He's not the only one still around, really. There's Tony, Jim and a few others at least. But it was a nice sentiment - nothing less than one would expect from Stirling...
