Tony Colley passed away this morning. Son of Dudley who wrote Wheel Patter describing racing his Frazer Nash pre war and post war Tony added an update to the book in 2003. Tony continued to race the Nash regularly and also drove his 1911 Renault in old car events.
An accomplished graphic artist and motoring journalist Tony was great company but it was his great sense of fun and wicked sense of humour that will be remembered by all of us in Ireland.

I think the last line of the revised and updated Wheel Patter summed up the character of Tony Colley:
"Whereas I am not at all wealthy, I believe I am very rich."
We have lost another great bloke.

How very true.
The funeral is tomorrow morning. There will be a big turnout of Irish motoring enthusiasts including a couple of TNFers.
