Peter Procter has just released his new autobiography titled "Pedals and Pistons" and will be signing copies at the Silverstone Classic this weekend.
Before his car racing career Peter had become an exceptional cyclist riding for Great Britain in many events including the World Championship Road Race and later becoming a professional riding for the BSA. After retiring from the cycling scene, he drove in many rallies, saloon and single seater events over an eleven year period before an horrfic accident at Goodwood finished his racing career. This book tells his story.

I shall be buying this book: Dad (Graham) was Proctor's co-driver in the Rootes works rally team in the earlier part of the '60s, they achieved some very good results together.
There is a picture of your dad (Graham) with Peter in the book.

The "Book Thread" is at the top of the forum http://forums.autosp...p?showtopic=958
Ok, thankyou. How do I move it to the book thread now?
Can this be done without re-typing all details again?

I had forgotten just how good a single seater racer Peter was being a rally man myself.

Peter called him at the end of last year and had him proof-read and edit the book. Nothing changed content-wise of course, but Proctor is not a writer by trade.
I must get a copy.
