Dennis--

You were mentioning that you are reading a book by S.C.H. Davis, but I can't find the thread. I have a book by him that I've never seen elsewhere, called Great British Drivers. What's great about it is it isn't about who you'd think. It starts with S.F. Edge, and ends with a young up and comer named Stirling Moss. Neat little book! Other names covered are: Charles Jarrett, Algy and Bill Guinness, De Hane Seagrave, Woolf Barnate, Sir Henry Birkin, Brian Lewis, John Cobb, Dick Seaman, and Reg Parnell. Has alot of good information about the early days of British racing. Have you seen it?
