Hello,
I am looking for any pictures of the formula easter cars from H.T. built in between the time of 1975-77. Aswell I have a question, does anyone know if he put a Chassis number or anything else on the Chassis to identify the cars?
I would be glad for any information. :)

Regards

HTS means Hartmut Thassler Special. Here are three photos, scanned from old magazines.

Minsk, 1975:

And this seem to be a modified version (Minsk, 1977) :

Thank you very very much I am glad that somebody got some pictures, but I think it does not mean Hartmut Thaßler Special, I think it means Hartmut Thaßler Schiguli. The Schiguli was because of the engine a 2101 when I am not totally wrong.

I think it's hardly "Schiguli" as these cars were exported as "Lada".

As far as I can recall, they were exported to Eastern Europe (that would include the DDR) as Schiguli or whatever, and to the rest of the world as Lada.

I have asked a question about the export name of VAZ production in Eastern Europe on a Russian forum which is regularly visited by a number of competent specialists in Russian automobile industry. One of them answered that VAZ cars had been mostly exported as Ladas but some of them had kept their original name Zhiguli - or Schiguli in German. Thus the version of 'Hartmut Thassler Schiguli' has become more believable. BTW: Tigaracing, what book are you referring to?

Excellent site, thank you Edward! Although no models of HTS can be found there, that doesn't decrease its value :)

I looked it up in a book and it really means Schiguli ;)

The aforementioned historian of automobile industry, Stanislav Kiriletz, has asserted the version "Hartmut Thassler Spezial". His sources are some issues of East German "Motor-Jahr" and "Motor-Kalender".

Hello,

Here are 3 pictures from a HTS. The driver of #74 is Lutz Heinicke and the driver of #76 is Burkhardt Eichhorn. This picture is from Schleizer Dreieck (event: Schleiz CLASSIC 2009).
By the way: I know HTS only as "Hartmuth Thassler Shiguli"

Ray, what were your sources of information about 'Schiguli'?

The photos are great  What is the red car in the background on the second one?

Hello,

The car is a MTX (driver Sven Epler)

More pictures from this event you can find here:

I will ask Hartmuth Thassler direct regarding the HTS if I see him to the next HAIGO race on Sachsenring or Oschersleben in this year! (His son Dennis will drive a MT 77 on this race)

The MTX 1-06 indeed - but modified beyond recognition! At first glance, it looks like a Romanian GT 86...

Ray, is Hartmut Heidicke among the HAIGO members that you are acquiainted with? If so, could you please ask him why he so stubbornly thinks his single-seater to be the the Estonia 24, whereas it is obviously the ex-Asmer Estonia 25?

Hello,

Hartmut Heidicke is a HAIGO member, but not the same as Lutz and they are not kindred. Hartmut has former driven a SEG III Lada.

The car from Hartmut Heidicke is the Estonia 25 from Toivo Asmer.

News regarding HTS: the official title was "Hartmut Thassler Shiguli" but Hartmut Thassler himself called "Hartmut Thassler Spezial".
This information comes from the promotor of the HAIGO series - Stromhardt Kraft.

ziepars, welcome to TNF, you finally decided to register here  The first photo is definitely the 1975 season, as Vladislav Barkovsky (no. 65) and Vladimir Grekov (61) have the standard Estonia 18 cars.

Ray: according to the investigation performed by Alexandr Sadovsky, the former TARK chief designer, Heidicke's Estonia 25 is the chassis no. 5, which belonged to Indulis Rukuts. The whereabouts of the authentic Asmer's car (chassis no. 2) is still unknown. Sadovsky said that most likely it was in Moscow.

Please give an exact link to any photo of a HTS car on ddr-formel1.de - this would be a big discovery, as this web site, to my opinion, contains photos of the SRG MT77 only :)
