From Sporting Life
...Coulthard might still find the triple world champion a pain but he was more concerned about a discomfort in his backside after clinching third place overall in the standings.

The Monaco-based driver finished the 56-lap race with a severe blister on his right buttock caused by the skid-plate under the car which absorbs all the heat from the engine.

"I don't know which bright spark moved it for this season, but it's caused me a problem every race," he added. "But today was the worst its been and caused the blister."

This might explaine why Mclaren drivers are so "serious" at the post race conferences ... and why Mika gives such a short answeres -> he can´t wait to get the hell away from there...

The itv.com wrote it even better:

DC's season ends on bum note

David Coulthard had an extra incentive to get the Malaysian Grand Prix over with as quickly as possible – after suffering bottom end problems.

But for once the problem wasn’t with his car. DC was left in agony after heat from his car’s skidblock seeped through into the cockpit in yesterday's race, leaving the Scot with a burnt bum!

But it was no laughing matter for Coulthard after he was left with a nasty blister on his right cheek.

What can you say, Ron was desparate to beat Ferrari and get a shot at the WCC.

Frank Williams may read that story and put cattle prods in his cars ("Ferrari's up behind you Ralf...ZZZAAP!"). God knows what this inspiration may do for Briatore...:D

So jumped starts come from shuffling rear ends around to keep the heat down while waiting for the start, the movement sometimes causing the clutch foot to slip?

hehe, nice try, but don't both McLarens have hand operated clutches?

...which perfectly explains why Mika jumped the start in Sepang: He just HAD to get his hand of the clutch for a short moment to scratch his arse!
