The legendary pre-war Automotive Journalist for the Gazzetta dello Sport was so important to the promotion of Italian and European motor racing. Can any of you fellow NTF'ers provide any information that can help me to 'flesh' out this man? Has anything been written about him in English that anyone knows about? I particularly need personality descriptions or qwerks that will help bring him to life. As always, thanks for your help.

A number of the Mille Miglia books have good information on him. Exactly what do you need?

James
there is an small 'biography' on him: Giovanni Canestrini: L'uomo che inventò la ''Mille Miglia'' '
By Gianfranco Capra published by Quaderni Novarese for the Automobil Club Novara.(2003)
Some (or more content) on the person of Canestrini. In the MM books is of course (mostly) the story of the 4 musketeers..
