Does anyone have any nice pictures of the Kreepy Krauly March 83G that won the 1984 Daytona race. It went on to win some other races too. What has happened to this car? I heard it was being restored in the UK but that was the last I heard....
A couple can be found here: http://www.johnstark...rticles_16.html
It also provides the history.

I've just learned something from this thread- not being particularly conversant with early 80's IMSA, I knew that a Kreepy Krauly March had appeared at Le Mans in '85, and had always assumed- without really thinking about it- that it was the Daytona winner.
Reading the piece on the Starkey website, and looking at Le Mans '85 pics on racingsportscars.com, there were apparently two cars- the ex-Holbert chassis 83G/04, raced in IMSA during 1984 and then sold on to Hotchkis in late '84, and the second, (84G/03 according to RSC.com) which appeared at Le Mans: http://www.racingspo...-06-16-034a.jpg
84G/03 subsequently seems to have been sold to Costas Los, who raced in in Group C in 1986 with his usual Metaxa sponsorship: http://www.racingspo...6-06-01-066.jpg
I raised this because a Kreepy Krauly March appeared in the historic Group C race at Nurburgring a few weeks back, in the hands of Andrew Haddon & Herve Regout- is it the Daytona winner described on the Starkey site, or the Le Mans car? (the 'Ring results sheets describe it as a March 24E(!) which doesn't help matters....) I suspect it's the latter, as the Starkey website describes the Daytona winner as being restored to Holbert colours by it's current owner

I have seen 83G/04 at the Historics last month. It sported the CRC / Red Roof Inn and a three-litre Porsche 935 engine. That would make the car in Europe 84G/03.
I agree, it was raced a few weeks ago at Monteray Historics
