There's too much to tell in this forum, they were held over three or four - even five? - meetings at Oran Park, using both short and long circuits, from memory. The money attracted the impecunious owner-drivers, with Max Stewart putting Paul Bernasconi in his second car as well.
Two incidents stand out - Kevin Bartlett throwing his T400 at the wall in BP when the brakes failed - kerthump!; and Bruce Allison flicking his visor down as he lit up the tyres taking off on a warm up lap from pole position. As he flicked, so did the rear end, and he spun through 180 degrees.
Great racing, though, and a match race one day between Colin Bond in a Lotus 16 and Stewart in the T400 was pretty spectacular as well.
