Sutil was told to use the overtake button if he needs.

How does it work? Revs are limited.

They can adjust the air/fuel ratio, and also they can use more revs. They don't have to, and probably shouldn't, use the whole range of the revs all the time.

So when they want to really push, they can adjust the air/fuel ratio to get more horsepower out of the engine, and they can go to higher revs.

At the moment someone like Barrichello surely shouldn't be pushing as hard as he can, regarding the engine.

An easy "push-to-pass" button would be to let the engine go to higher revs momentarily. It shouldn't go over the limit as per the rules, of course.

It wasn't Sutil's team radio.

Second one was Sutil's, first one was Rob Smedley talking to Fisi.

You have to be careful with that device. Lewis pushed the "overtake Button" thing and look what happened to him.

Richer fuel mixture, I presume. Button was saying after the race that his engineer wanted him to go to a richer fuel mix, but he said he didn't need it.

Overtake button is just a shortcut to a number of steering wheel settings, richer fuel mixture, different ignition sequence max revs and if available lower front wing ... it's just convenience for the driver, instead of turning the mixture to knob 5 engine map to knob 8 rev knob to max and lowering the wing he gets it all done with a button and everything gets restored when he lifts his thumb off it.

"Opposite" of it is the SC button
