Congrats Button, but I still think you are one of the crappiest world champion since Villeneuve  Outqualified by Rubens in the last 9 races or something like that

And props for Brawn GP ofcourse. Amazing achievement for a new team

His whiney voice irritates me though, and couldn't he have come up with a unique radio celebration rather than copy Alonso's from 2005?

Just switched on the telly and there he is, Button, WDC 2009. How depressing. hopefully next season we can get back to the best drivers winning the WDC rather than the also rans.

Congratulations to Button, and every Button supporter that's been a fan of his for longer than just this season and is a fan of him for more reasons than just being British.

Congratulations to Honda/Brawn for building such a superior car.
And Button, yeah, congratulations for him too, the one of the two Brawn drivers who has made less mistakes.

I'm not saying he isn't worthy champion, but it was a very anti-climatic second half of season from him.

Congrats to Button and Brawn. There's a touch less pure drama to the occasion after my congratulating of Hamilton almost a year ago now, but he utterly deserves it. Just goes to show, after everything he's gone through competitively, that you can never give up on your dream.

I´ll try:

Gilles V. All the others in your list won the WDC title.

Congrats to Button

It doesn´t matter whether you score lots of points in first or last races. All points are equally important. Jenson won the title fair and square, deservingly.

Congrats to Jenson. Deserving champ for sure.

True, his 2nd half of the season wasn't as spectacular as the first, but he was consistent, he scored points, and remained ahead of his rivals, exactly what he needed to do.

Definitely a worthy WDC.

Congrats to Jenson "World Champion" Button.

I think there will be a lot of discussion about 'worthiness' in lieu of Jenson's strong start, and struggling finish. But the season is 18 races, and Jenson did better in those 18 than anyone else.

He made his own luck, and when all was said and done, did more than anyone else where it mattered. On the scoreboard.

So congrats to Jenson, definitely a worthy champion, definitely a good champion for the image of the sport and just rewards for a long almost like journeymanlike career so far.

If you think back to January, who would have thought this would be the result come October?

BTW, MTV3 commentators pointed out the Brawn GP team was sold with 1 pound.

Now that is value for money :)
