I've always hated the way the Torro Rosso paint job looks on TV.
I reckon that the one of the Red Bull teams should be the light blue that red bull have on their cans, and the other team can stay the same. At least that way there's no confusion between the two teams.

Obviously they have changed their mind and rectified it this season. Needn't have bothered, the wins have dried up for the Toro squad!
The silver and black "Give you wings" rear wing was originally a lot clearer Red Bull branding than the hard-to-identify logo squished onto the rear wing of the main RBR car... so they may have deemed this a sufficient identifier. Anyhow, every knows it is a Red Bull team anyway.

bourdais looks surprised to still be in formula 1....
i agree that the cola brand would be a much more worthwhile livery for them next year...being that they have to build their own chassis next year, is it really worth the expense?

They may end up with Repsol on the car somewhere next year
And Renault extensively branded on the RBR unit. The big patches of yellow will look very smart if it happens

The patches of yellow are the first thing I look at to tell the Red Bull from the Toro. Don't confuse me again please

Like your idea of Torro Rosso being Red Bull Lite!

A janut into any petrol station or motorway-services in the UK will now reveal that not only can you buy regular Red Bull (which is frankly hideous without the addition of 3 inches of vodka straight from the freezer) you can of course buy Red Bull Cola (tried it and to be honest if I want to waste money on something as teeth-destroyingly grotesque as cola then I want a cola that tastes like a cola, not a cola that tastes like a mouthful of flowers) but now you also have those ridiculous Red Bull energy shots!!!
I was at the Powered by Mercedes Benz event at Brooklands on Sunday and when we stopped during the 5 1/2 drive home the missus wasted money on one of these things - it actually cost more than a regular Red Bull but is about 1/5 the size. I of course had a taste and erm...it's just Red Bull. Bizarre.
It looks like the drinks-side of the operation is however now taking it's inspiration from the racing-side.

Red Bull the drink seems to have gone and got itself all confused the way it's F1 team got confused and decided to pointlessly have two teams.

The Red Bull shots contain more caffeine than a normal can of the stuff and is easier for drivers to drink on the go etc. It serves a purpose and they're not the only ones jumping on that particular bandwagon.

If you ask me any driver buying that stuff is just a pussy who cant handle a proper coffee without needing to stop 30 miles later to have a pee.

caffeine is a dehydrant. Red Bull has caffeine as well so it will give the same effect as coffee.

I would like them to incorporate their ties to Ferrari but not use the Red or the Prancing horse. Im not sure how it could be done, but I think that would be pretty cool.
The still image of the TR bull looks cool, but the blue and red blend into a purple, at racing speeds, which doesnt look like a good purple.
The Red Bull Cola Red is the connecter perhaps?
The RBR colors like awesome though.

Coffee does dehydrate, but it takes out less than it puts in, so you get a net gain in hydration, albeit a very small one.

The current Red Bull livery is perhaps one of the best looking at the moment. It looks sleek and is instantly recognisable, though I do concede that some effort should be made to make the Toro Rosso one for next year look somewhat different. Thought to be honest, I've never had a problem recognising who is who and for Red Bull, they'll want to get as much exposure as possible, so I doubt we'll see a Red Bull Cola branded Toro Rosso next season for example

They could always do a silver version of the Red Bull livery, like the NASCAR team does.
But then what do you do with that to make it look different to say McLaren? You couldn't do what they've done in DTM with the much smaller surface area of an F1 chassis?

Too bad the RB teams (since they are both RB, essentially) can't just be painted identically and called a four-car team, with an A and a B squad, and be done with it. That or, as others have said, do up TR with a grey or RB cola livery.
(edit: I forgot half my post. Oops.)

I totally forgot about it, what's the status of TR? Do they have to come up with their own car for 2010?

I my opinion they should either go with the light blue from their "sugar free" version or add the red from the cola.
