There is a brand new title on 'FIAT Grand Prix cars' published in France by ETAI.
To my knowledge the first book on the racing cars of the 20s. There was an italian book (privately published??) and a lenghty article by Griff Borgeson.
Here the link:

My copy has just arrived. Post is slow. Book looks very promising but have not read it yet. its in french which for me requires some concentrated effort. 190 pages with good pictures and drawings of engines/valve gear etc. Did anyone but Fiat think of a 12 cylinder engine with two crankshafts?

in his bibliography in the new book Sebastien Faures refers to an article by Borgeson in La Vie de l'Auto in February 1991 "Hommage a un grand Ingenieur: Vittorio Jano". Is that it?

There was an article on Classic Fiat Racing Engines in The Antique Automobile June- September 1950 translated from an italian article which had appeared the previous year in Motor Italia.

Thank you for that nice reply, Oliver.

There is a 7-page article by Borgeson detailing the career of Vittorio Jano, in the September 1965 issue of Road & Track, but there is very little mention of the Fiat GP cars. I thought that perhaps Borgeson may have done an article specifically on the Fiats, and that perhaps I might have it here at home, but if such a thing exists, I can't pinpoint it.

I'm afraid I don't have copies of "The Antique Automobile" or "Motor Italia".

I mixed it up-sorry.
There is an article on the GP Fiats (mainly pre 1920) in the now defunct Italian magazine 'Le Grandi Automobili', Number 22 Winter 1987/88. Not by the esteemed Griff ,but by another capacity: Valerio Moretti.(English/Italian)

best regards Michael

My copy of Fiat en Grand Prix arrived yesterday, just five days after ordering. Initial impressions are very good.
