Often it's easier to collect a budget for F1 than for GP2 because the investors are often more interested in F1 than in GP2...

If that were true we would see most of the well sponsored GP2 drivers in F1. But we don't, do we?

Why? Often sponsors/investors will not pay a GP2 season, but will pay a F1 season because of they have more publicity in F1.

Well I think they would had it easier to race than HRT this season. It was not a good decision from the FIA not to allowed a 13th team. We have a 107% quali rule so they couldn't be to slow in the race.

I heard a rumour that Marko Asmer might be in line for the second Hispania seat.

That would be very strange since Asmer talked about ending his carreer half a year ago, he hasn't driven competitive races since 2008 (when he was outqualified 6 times out of 7 by Roldan Rodriguez in GP2).
What is your source? I find this hard to believe.

I said "I heard a rumour", not "I read a rumour". There's a subtle, but important difference. If you're looking for a link so that you can check it out, I don't have one to give you, because someone physically told me the rumour. And as I said in the other thread, I heard it a few days ago. The memory of it was only triggered when I read a post by someone looking for news on driver movements in Hispania.

Ferrari also has Davide Rigon as test driver

Mercedes has Anthony Davidson, who at least tests in the simulator

Lotus also perhaps with Ricardo Teixeira.

HRT with Giorgio Mondini and Christian Klien?

Virgin with Robert Wickens (Marussia supported), Mikhail Aleshin, Max Chilton or Lucas di Grassi?

I added the 2014 contract for Vettel. But it's a bit too early for the 2015 Silly Season thread, don't you think? ;)

Are they trying to beat Lotus Renault to the prize for having the most test drivers?

You realize, of course, that this is war. ;)

(To the tune of Disney's A Whole New World)

Please just right where you are,
I will come there and save you;
No-one this day will harm you
If I get to you in time.

Please stay right where you are,
When you run, the meat gets less tender;
Just lie down and surrender;
Could you marinate in lime?

For this is war;
It's where the strong protect the weak
I know not if I'll die, but knw I'll try;
I'd gladly give my life for others.

For this is war;
I do not care whose side I'm on.
I'll kill a troll or gnome, or burn a home
And it was fun to start this war; who knew?
