F3, Touring Cars, Superbikes...

Last stop of the racing season. Marcus Ericsson's driving the almighty Toyota-powered entrant, and he's a national champion; whereas Jules Bianchi is being touted on here as the next Alain Prost. At the bare minimum, at least he's here, which is more than Bourdais managed... Four different suppliers makes for a competitive field in F3, and I believe there's a title on the line in WTCC.

And here's hoping Simon Andrews can do something on his first race around the streets of Macau -- he was extremely unlucky not to win a BSB race this year.

In WTCC it's between Gabrielle Tarquini with 115 pts, Yvan Muller with 113 pts and Augusto Farfus can take it all away from the Seats with 102 pts.

Is it? Whenabouts? I've searched high and low on Eurosport, and can only find the WTCC... is Eurosport doing the F3?

Unfortunately Eurosport only has the WTCC races. No Macau F3 on TV as always...

A few years ago Men and Motors had coverage of the bike and F3 races could be worth trying them.

Group A Cosworths and super tourers around this place were epic. :)

Remember when Courtney had the speed in the Japanese championship F3 car, but crashed on debris?

Do they really race Superbikes around a street circuit?

Really? Could have sworn I saw somewhere recently that they were showing it?

Rubbish if nobody has picked up the rights to it.

Yup, it's the road racing circuit's own season-ending event. And street circuit or not, it's hardly as mad as racing around Coleraine or Tandragee on a damp afternoon.

The BBC's very own Steve Parrish has the distinction of having blown up a brothel while competing there. Well, afterwards.

http://www.macau.gra...u...921&lang=en Here's the entry list, you've got some great names from the British circuit here -- Stuart Easton on the Stiggy-prepared Hydrex Honda's going to be strong again this year. And Conor Cummins, who's a good six inches or so taller than Leon Camier, makes the trip flying the Manx flag. If they have one. Plus Michael Rutter, who is extraordinarily quick around the streets of Macau and has just come off a season of riding every kind of bike homologated for BSB competition, with, er, mixed results.

Marcus Ericsson snatches provisional pole position for the Macau GP, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Edoardo Mortara.

Bad day for the Euroseries. :p

There tends to be a question mark over any British F3 graduate these days, over the strength of the opposition (maybe that's just because it's not named after a whole continent). So it's good to see Ricciardo so quick against the rest of the world. And obviously with that Red Bull backing he'll go far, if he gets the results.

According to the official TV schedule, some "Greenlight TV" has the rights for delayed broadcast of the F3 and bike races in UK. Would've expected them to resell them to Motors TV etc. but can't find anything on their schedule. :/

Rubbish isn't it? Though if I recall watching it on Motors TV last year was akin to watching a video on Youtube as the bitrate was so low.

Sebastien never recorded a Macau finish. Still I was under the impression that he never went. It was just a standard cheap-shot-at-Bourdais that seem to make the world go round. For the record I think he's pretty great and got very unlucky in F1, as I'm sure most people here do.

I have looked high and low for somewhere to watch the F3. Sadly, looks like we may be dissapointed...

I went over there last year for the race (as a spectator), amazing circuit!

It's on Star Sports, right? Don't know how you watch it when you're not in the Far East though. It's also on Viasat Motor in Sweden, I am informed. Otherwise, guess it's just a case of poring over every word of the race reports, retro-style. :D

Well I'm watching currently watchin it in Swedish, which is making the safety car moments that bit more interesting.

http://www.bikesport.....-LAP THRILLER

Stuart Easton finishes what could be termed a breakout year with another victory, though by the sounds of things he had to work for it. Fantastic rides from Andrews and especially Cummins (I'm good at calling these :stoned: ).

Ricciardo just went backwards in the F3 race, although he's still in a strong position for tomorrow. Edoardo Mortara's looking ominously racy, I'd say.

Oh cool  Thing is that the expert Eje Elgh is one of the advisors to Marcus, so he has a close connection to his career, that's why they're so nervous haha!

To be fair Connor was on pole last year with the Yamaha having a technical failure fairly early so not the greatest of calls :p Just kiddin!

 I called Leon Camier for the BSB title after the first round at Brands Hatch. So in the realms of making spectacularly predictable predictions, I'm in even Mark Lawrenson's league.

Seriously though, great ride from Andrews, this man has a future.

F3 Macau should have been broadcast live in the UK, really don't get it why it was not covered live by any channel  Where is Motors TV when you need them (given up on Eurosport).

Restart with the grid as the result of the first lap or as the result of the qual race? As a swede I hope for a new race with Marcus on the first row and a good start from him :)

EDIT: And the commentators answer my question just as I press enter, restart with the positions as after the first lap.

Mortara wins

Vernay 2nd, Bottas 3rd, Ericsson 4th.

Sam Bird was actually 4th, but I believe hit the wall at the last posible moment at Fisherman's bend.

That's funny, before the race Bottas was saying what a great unforgivable track it was, and they all should be like that.
