Thought these photos taken in the "Paddock" behind a Pub at Dunboyne, Ireland in 1964 would interest. The car was entered and driven under the pseudonym Paul Sherman-Kisner (one of a few used). Does anyone wish to share photos of other D-types owned and driven by Nigel Moores??

You will find quite a number of references to Nigel Moores if you trawl the Search facility, Bill. Including this one recently posted on this thread:

Nigel's powder-blue D-Type was the very low-mileage ex-Colonel Ronnie Hoare/Bob Gibson-Jarvie (UDT) car, if I recall correctly - while the black car was known affectionately as 'Old Oily' and was, I believe, the one he used most often. It is the car retained by the family after his tragic and premature death (as a passenger in a road accident) and was sold by Bonhams at Goodwood a year or so ago.

There is still a healthy interest in collecting rather special cars in the Moores family as demonstrated by this Ferrari 275GTB-4 purchased in 2008 by David Moores, a nephew of John as was Nigel. (Were they then both son's of Cecil Moores?) It was recently exhibited at the Classic Car Show at the NEC on the Ferrari Owners Club stand.

The Paddock is the pub behind Brady's in Dunboyne, I have a letter to the LMC looking for unpaid start money, since paid.
