That's right he was, in 81 i think, he took his "prize", a new Rotax to Brands for an end of season Bemsee meet. It was p*****g down with rain and i was a bit of a wet weather man so we had a great scrap. I was very confident about beating him and had one or two places in mind to overtake and pull away then i noticed my temp guage getting a bit high. I ended up nursing it home to 5th, the bottom hose had split, besides a bundle of falls, that was the worst thing that happened to me all year so i was lucky i guess.Ivan was a Marlboro clubmans winner....

Hi Mick....What was it with Marlboro Clubmans Winner's ...They all failed ti hit the bigtime...Tom Dury (R.I.P),Ivan Gray,Dean Askin,Martin Rice,Stuart Melen.....I think i have missed one...That's right he was, in 81 i think, he took his "prize", a new Rotax to Brands for an end of season Bemsee meet.
