I am pleased to pass on that it is now up and running again (you could access it before, but couldn't add anything new to it), and would recommend it to anyone with 917 interests. The site owner emailed me and said there were problems with tons of spam for a while, but it is now resolved.
I would love to see others either come back and participate, or hopefully other newbies who might sign up as I just have. It covers all variations of 917, including 917/10, 917/20, and 917/30's.
With all of interest in these cars, it's nice to have a site focused on them.

Thanks Doug.I was pointed towards www.cknet.org.uk a while ago, and found lots of great info there. However, when I tried to resister, I couldn't sign up. I also noticed that there weren't any new postings in a while either.

Imho, the argentinian site http://www.porsche91....ar/index_e.htm was far better but he's "dead" since years

We have a topic on a french forum.
Even if you don't speak our languague, there're many pictures & some of us speak (or try ;) ) english.

Yes, both of these other sites are great, and I've accessed them for a while now. The only 2 things I miss on them are:
1) Being in English on the forum-autosport site so I could read the comments
2) Having forums which people can share info on the Argentine site (I didn't realize the founder had passed away).
Hopefully the CKnet site will build up some momentum and followers.

there is a 917K currently on display in the Prototyp-museum in Hamburg, I visited at the weekend - pretty cool!! - the 917 was the star of the LeMans exhibit for me.
