Actually twice, since the first time he was coming out of the Ferrari pits so fast, he passed me by before i could even say anything.
I than met him with eddie for about 1 hour 3 years ago because of some work I was doing for Shell/Ferrari (advertising). We were invited to Maranello, got to drive the production cars on the Fiorano track. He was very nice, a little shy in front of people who were asking so many questions (needed to write good ads), but very patient, very available, explained things in the most accurate details. You could tell he loved what he does completly. He also was very down to heart, not the arrogant type at all, as often described. Then again, we were not a crowd of screaming fans, but 8 professionals meeting him for work, so we were excited but well behaved. Eddie was also nice, but joked all the time and we couldn't tell if he was serious or not.
The last time I saw him was in Monaco last year. I spoke to him 5 minutes, thanked him for the time he spent with me in Fiorano and, unbelievable, he remembered. He was in a rush thought, it was almost time to change and start practice.
That's all.

I'd like to see your pictures. Bira spent quite some time with Schumacher, at the Spa and Monza races this year. She seemed to think he was pleasant enough. She also said that Mika and Erja Hakkinen are very down to earth, funny, and kind in person.
Michael in a TownCar would be great to see. I used to drive one built in '95. I'd like to race the entire F1 grid, and anyone else who's game, to a race in rented Lincolns. Driving fast can be fun in cars that have no perceptible ride motion damping whatsoever.

Shipping my car to Oz would cost more than the car is worth.

I once beached a rental Lincoln Town car on the Oregon coast with high-tide coming in. God, how I wished I got the loss-damage waiver (aka, wreck-and-walk) that day.
Thank goodness, two (self-proclaimed) rednecks w/4x4's pulled us out as the waves were licking the tires... Since they just wrapped the tow ropes around the front suspension, that car was a bitch to get back to the rental car site (40 pounds of pressure to turn the wheel just so it would drive straight). Naturally, I complained strongly about the dangerous vehicle they rented to me...

I have pics, I will post sometime.

Considering he means so much to you, why do you not put forward a request similar to the one made by the man in Atlas F1 who`s article has been posted here. It may work, and you may be able to meet Michael Schumacher, which I`m sure would be a very momentous occasion worthy of celebration for you.

Not yet but can't wait to, but I doubt I ever will. I am too mortal.

He's great. I became quite a fan that weekend. Even if he didn't want Eddie to win the championship.
