I just watched the F1 promo from La Sexta (Spanish tv) for this upcoming season and it was quite good, i think it would be a gud idea to get the promos from different tv´s around the world, and then once the season starts the intros.

Here´s the one i mentioned:

Yeah, that is good. I beleive here in the UK the bbc have started theirs, but I haven't seen it yet. Good idea too the thread, I'd like to see how it's promoted around the world.

Not too impressed with the Spanish one. Just some cars trundling around town. Where's the speed, excitement and noise? Don't quite understand what it's saying either - why would there be F1 cars just driving round? Where's the creative idea?

I see it as reaching out to the public that something special is coming.... in the shape of F1 cars.

I don't know what will they do this year, but last year it was well made, although it didn't really have too much sense in it:

I'm going to post this everytime someone moans that the BBC concentrate on the British drivers.

Of course, the 4 Brazilian drivers are there, but the big news is MS's comeback.

I saw a bbc uk one last night, not much to it IIRC

And we're forced to watch that! Sky is expensive and at least as stupid as RTL :/

I'm not up to speed with different networks, but I take it that Space Commercial was the Italian one? If so, then there's a surprising lack of Ferrari drivers.

Is this one for TV3 (regional spanish tv)? . Crappy IMO.

The Spanish is by far the classiest none of the others come close. The finnish would have ranked high up if their contect was good but its all lost on Heiki being projected as this great driver taking on all comers. The rest are dire :rotfl:

this is the 2009 bbc one- not really relevant anymore i know- but the chain is simply the most inspired piece of music of any f1 intro- moreso the older bbc f1 version from the 80s.
To be honest I'm not a fan of all these cgi intros- they should be about the adrenaline and fear, raw mechanics and speed. They need to be real.

actually I havent seen any promos by RAI but I wouldnt be surprised, they seldom promote f1.

Erm, it's 2010, not 2008

. Something tells me it's not the Singapore TV promo for 2010.

That 'something' is that the video was put on YouTube in January 2009. So unless Singapore TV wanted to get it's adverts in really, really early, it's not the 2010 promo.

Same thing goes for Canada "promo" - it's just the Red Bull "advert", it's not a TV spot, which is what this thread is about, no?

Yeah these're not all official ads but they're still interesting to watch. I liked the Red Bull one. Better than most of the official ads.

The Spanish promo is pathetic. Not inspiring, doesn't set your pulse racing and gives hardly any hint into what its about apart from the F1 cars. Also, the cars are obviously animated, the models are just crap. Surely, they could have done a better job with the animation? :yawnface:
