A few variations from the Motoring News report.

Gethin driving BRM P160/04
Beltoise driving BRM P160/05
Ganley driving BRM P160/06
Revson driving McLaren M19A/1
Beuttler driving a new un-numbered March 721
Ray Allen's McLaren M18 was the ex-Norinder car.
Dave Walker finished 1 lap down
Rolf Stommelen finished 2 laps down

Denny Hulme won 1000 bottles of champagne, donated by the Evening News, for being fastest in the Friday practice session. His time was 1m 24.8s, just 0.1s faster than Fittipaldi.

Graham McRae was disqualified from first place in the Saturday F5000 race for passing under the yellow flag. As a result he, or the team, made the decision not to race on the Sunday.

Retirements
Mike Beuttler, 3laps, fuel pump
Brian Redman, 35 laps, spun and stalled
Gijs van Lennep, 18laps, broken suspension
