I knew Joe personally and learning of his untimely passing is very sad. Joe was a very good man, very helpful to others and always in a good mood.
Joe was a great guy...talented and fun. Condolences to his family...

I too was fortunate enough to get to know Joe through his involvement in the Atlantic series.
A good man, and great fun to be around.

Here is Joe Stimola in Formula Ford days — can anybody identify the car (Merlyn) and/or circuit?

I must be getting as "historical" as the cars I've worked on!
I first met Joey at Pocono as a very young wide eyed kid wrenching on a Hawk FF. He was running Bruce MacInnes in a Crossle FF that of course ran away from the field and won. We had one of my first real technical conversation on why "toe out" was better than "toe in". Thirty years latter, I can think of only one formula car I've ever set "toe in".
